Innovative and Tech Projects
The problem that interests us for this project is a reality that is very common to a large part of southern Europe: energy poverty. Nowadays, this problem is also a business opportunity for us, because it seems that at last the political powers are trying to resolve these situations with loans and financing. On the other hand, the construction industry already in many European countries is being severely restricted concerning its carbon footprint. We must create green solutions to solve the problems of today and tomorrow. Termy.co is a circular economy project which takes advantage of residues from rice, hemp, coffee, cardboard, and many others industries to create thermal/ acoustic insulation panels. The panels are produced with industrial and agricultural waste and inoculated with mycelium, the vegetative base of mushrooms. So far, we’ve passed the early stages of prototyping and testing. We already share our results in workshops, through articles, we teach in a course on the online platform criti.co and in the post-graduation of sustainable architecture programme. Now comes the time to raise funds for the development of our first laboratory, and so create the opportunity to receive the first proceeds, and move forward on the path of product testing and certification.
