2021 Edition

The ReplasticMosaic project is aimed at the production of mosaic panels for street art in recycled plastic. The idea is rather simple: we get an intact empty PET bottle and reshape it into a small cube thanks to hot air and pressure. The variety of plastic bottles on the market allows us to have a wide range of hues. The image is divided into pixels and each cube corresponds to 1 pixel. It takes 900 plastic bottles to make one square meter. Social involvement for the collection of bottles becomes a much needed step in our project. Any citizen can be an active protagonist in the project: they can bring bottles to collection points, contribute to the creation of streetart mosaics and also be helpful for the spreding of the art project through the social media. Through these artworks we could renovate public spaces and attract a local and international tourism.
