During the global pandemic, there has been a drastic increase in the use of onlineplatforms and delivery services. These new habits have settled in our society ascostumes, and it’s hard to get rid of it.However, did we ever stop and think how this has incremented the waste of plastic,aluminum paper, and the labor exploitation in this two years? CIRCOLARE is the solution we want to suggest. It is a START UP which operates in the restaurant business and in the food deliveryarea; is based on the idea of Circular Design.
1) The clients order through the app and they will receive their order at home orwherever they are.Now there are two options:
2.1) The day after the clients ordered, a rider will take in charge the packagings.
2.2) If the clients are not in loco, they can bring the packaging to one of our partnerrestaurants where we will collect the packagings.
2.3) The packaging will be collected the next time the clients use the app. Usually this kind of business relies on a LINEAR DESIGN scheme.
To encourage the clients to keep using our service, we thought to apply a recycledpaper stickers with the logo of the restaurant from which they are ordering. On suchstickers there will be a QRcode which will enable the client to benefit from discountson future orders. Once the riders collect the packaging, they will be cleaned by professionals andreintroduce in the Circular scheme. Source of waste: In our progect we have two options. It’s possible to create our packsby usings plastic waste from plastic bottles and small plastic objects such as old foodcontainers ecc. Or we can use the PLA waste from broken objects create by 3Dprinters.
