Candy wrap is always beautiful, and that’s one of the few wonderful things I remember from my childhood. I am attracted by the design of these food packages. Sometimes, the food does not look the same as the image shown on the package, but this marketing strategy sells the food. This emotional effect is strongly related to our consumption. If we stop this fancy design from the packages, we can save more energy, but what about the little beautiful things in our lives? I have been collecting the images cut out from used food packages for more than one year. I used an electric hair splint to attach the images I collected from my ongoing food consumption to a bigger food package. By formulating different compositions of these images, every piece reminds us how we get comfort from food and even food images and how we can balance our emotional desire and willingness to be eco-friendly.
